I prefer Miyuki for my seed beads. I have found they are more uniform in color and size. That's important. I also use Czech seed beads.
For larger glass beads I love to secure Vintage beads because then you have a unique one of a kind possibility in creating the next piece of art. Vintage- German, Japan, Czech are some of the ones I use in my designs, and what fun they create!
Czech Republic glass beads are another preference, because they seem to care about quality which shows in their beads.
Last but not least is the Swarovski Crystals, either the bicone or round crystals or their pearl crystals. They are a must in my bead collection and I use them almost exclusively. There is NO other shine like theirs in my opinion so why would I want less.

Yes, most of my creations are my designs, however, I have learned from others the basic weave designs and then embellished on those basic moves.
Lets say I use the Russian Weave, I've learned how to work that weave but I want to use different combination's - sizes, colors, stuff like that and then create my own style off of that single weave. i.e. my Russian Heiress Collection.
That's what I love about beading, there is everything to create and build on. I think it's been said "there is nothing new on this earth", well I believe that, so even though I may believe my little creation is unique and maybe even one of a kind, someone, somewhere just may have come up with the exact same idea, what are the odds? I'm not a mathematician but I'd guess it would be way out there.
